AutoPartners have now run over 170 trade nights over the past 8 years and this year for the first time, we teamed up with the automotive departments of TAFE campuses across Australia. We held many successful events at TAFEs in Victoria, NSW and QLD such as Box Hill, Dandenong, Blacktown, Coffs Harbour, Cairns, Ipswich and Acacia Ridge to name just a few.

The overwhelming feedback that we have had from the TAFEs is that is it an excellent opportunity for them to show off their facilities to mechanics in the area and to re-engage with the local automotive community.

In 2015, we plan to run most of our events at TAFE campuses as well as a couple of marquee locations such as Victor Bray's workshop or Bowdens Car Museum on the Sunshine Coast.

This year we also added several new brands to the roster including Dayco, Autodata and Burson Equipment. Jeff Smit from The Automotive Technician provided a new level of professionalism to the presentations and response to his segment has been extremely enthusiastic. Jeff presents relevant technical information on behalf of sponsoring brands in a case study format helping mechanics solve interesting problems.

To see Jeff in action watch the following videos.

Make sure you keep an eye out for when we make it to your area in 2015. It's well worth the effort.

New brands, great locations in 2014

Coordinated by Origination CRM, AutoPartners trade nights have been successfully delivering quality technical training nights and trade events to mechanics Australia wide since 2005.

In 2014 we have new brands participating alongside regular participants and over 25 new events planned in both metropolitan and regional locations.

The calendar kicked off enthusiastically on March 20 at Chisholm TAFE in Dandenong with presentations and demonstrations by Sidchrome and Monroe plus Jeff Smit, Technical Editor from The Automotive Technician (TaT) who has been delivering practical and topical training sessions which explore the process of diagnosing problems which are commonly faced by most workshops on a regular basis.

Jeff explains systems such as engine and transmission management, ABS and SRS and Controlled Area Networks (CAN) which are commonly misdiagnosed. It's a must see opportunity to discover essential diagnostic tips and tricks from one of Australia's top technicians and has been enthusiastically received across Australia.

This year we've added several TAFE locations to the roster, revisited the National Automotive Museum of Tasmania and presented under the wings of a Lancaster bomber at the Aviation Heritage Museum at Bull Creek in Perth.

Make sure you get along to one of these very informative nights when our road show rolls through your town or suburb.

Door busting trade night at Bowdens

For more than 8 years, the AutoPartners team has been running premium trade nights for thousands of mechanics across Australia and we are always on the look out for special locations to make it just that bit more interesting.

Tuesday August 13th 2013 was one of the more memorable occasions.

We were fortunate enough to secure a night at Bowdens Own showroom, probably Australia's greatest collection of muscle, racing and touring cars. Apart from hearing presentations from SuperPro, Ferodo, Exedy, Century Batteries and The Automotive Technician, the invited mechanics, some who had travelled many kilometres from across the Sunshine Coast, were able to view 30 legendary vehicles from Australian race history. There was literally millions of dollars of historic vehicles unmatched by almost any other collection in Australia.

Dan Bowden provided a fascinating and intimate knowledge of each vehicle and how they were brought back to life. From Kevin Bartlett's Cheyy Camero, Pete Geoghegan's GTHO Super Falcon, Allan Moffat's Trans Am to a unique Mercedes Benz 1955 300 SL Gull Wing.

The audience was captivated, and for participating brands it was a great opportunity to promote their products to potential customers.

V8 Race and Mark Winterbottom help kickstart our 2013 Trade Nights

Our first week of Autopartners Trade Nights for 2013 were hot stuff, and not just because of the early autumn heatwave. Our special guests V8 Race drive experience at Sandown Racecourse and Mark Winterbottom at the Italian Sports Club of Werribee proved to be real crowd pleasers among the dedicated attendees who braved the heat.

The attendees made the most of their opportunity to chat to the presenting brands to gain useful tips and insights on the latest products and innovations, and were particularly impressed with the DriveTech SumoSprings presentation, a new addition to the Autopartners Trade Night program for 2013.
